Nittel on the Upper Moselle is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate/Germany. It is home to around 2,591 people. Nittel is an accredited health resort located in the southwest of Germany along the river Moselle, which is known for its picturesque scenery and its winemaking. Wine tastings are offered throughout the year.
There are two nature reserves: Nitteler Feld and Langheck near Nittel. Nittel is 24 km from Trier which borders Luxembourg. Nittel is the ideal starting point for trips to France, Luxembourg or Trier.
