The city of Bregenz is the capital of Vorarlberg, the westernmost province of Austria. The city covers an area of around 29.50 km² and is home to around 29,300 people. Bregenz is the third largest city in Vorarlberg after Dornbirn and Feldkirch. It sits on the shore of Lake Constance and is an important railway junction. The lake is situated where Germany, Switzerland and Austria meet. Known as sports and cultural centre, Bregenz is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
