In winter this region belongs to the realm of the Hochkönig Mountain. Together with the communities of Hinterthal, Dienten and Maria Alm, Mühlbach am Hochkönig forms one of the largest ski areas in Austria. 34 modern ski lifts serve a total of 150 kilometres of pistes set against the impressive mountain landscape.
