Things to do in summer in Fiss
The holiday region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis with the three historical villages is located at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,400 metres on a high plateau above the Tyrolean Inn Valley, framed by the mighty 3000 metre Samnaun mountains and the Ötztal Alps. The expert on holidays in the mountains, especially for families with children, is renowned for its unmatched range of hiking and mountain sport offerings. Mountain biking on 200 km marked bike trails, the only Scott bike centre in the Alps, enjoyment cycling, hiking trails up to the 3000 metre peaks, 500 km of sign-posted hiking trails, various theme trails, climbing, horseback riding, paragliding, rafting, canyoning, Nordic walking, model flying, tennis, segway trekking, electric bikes, street steppers, archery; the summer toboggan run “Fisser Flitzer”, flying attraction “Fisser Flieger”, the “Skyswing”, jumping tower and the “Summer Snow World” in the Summer Fun Park Fiss; interactive “Murmli Trail” and water park “Murmli Water”, a walk-in marmot burrow as well as the open-air enclosure with real marmots for children and adults in the Adventure World Serfaus, adventure trail with climbing wall, climbing tower and inline skating, the X-Trees forest rope garden and the zip line “Serfauser Sauser”, outdoor swimming pool and a natural lake for swimming. That’s why visitors will find all kinds of fun and adventure on the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis plateau.
Winter in Fiss
Here winter sports fans have the choice of 214 km of well-groomed ski runs, 30 km of daily groomed cross-country skiing trails (14.5 km of which are classic trails, 15.5 km of which are skating trails and 8,4 km high-level cross-country trails) and 68 lift services. The region offers snow guarantee from the beginning of December until the end of April with the possibility to recondition 80% of ski runs with snow. With a carrying capacity of 90,000 persons per hour and most modern lift services waiting times are avoided.
With the Kinderschneealm, the Murmli Park and Bertas Kinderland, excellent ski schools, all-day childcare, separate children’s restaurants and many other family-friendly attractions, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has plenty to offer for families. It has indeed been commended several times by well-known ski guides (ADAC, ski-online, etc.) as the most family-friendly resort in the Alps.
