Högl is a mountain range of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the municipality of Anger. The Bavarian community of Anger belongs to the district of Berchtesgadener Land in Germany. Anger is only a few kilometres from the Austrian border, the city of Salzburg can be easily reached in 30 minutes by car. Anger is home to about 4,500 people and covers an area of 45.91 km². The highest peak of the Högl mountains is at 827 m a.s.l..

Högl mountains belong to the region of Rupertiwinkel and are a very popular destination in the winter, boasting fantastic views as far as the Salzburg and the Berchtesgaden Alps. Stroblalm Inn, located along Högler hiking loop at 788 m, is easy to be reached. Stroblalm was first mentioned in documents already in 1249 and has been run by the same family for eleven generations. “Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk“, located between Anger and Piding, exhibits historic toys, model railways and vintage cars on 5500 m². Children just love the outdoor playground and the miniature train. The city of Bad Reichenhall is only 20km away and boasts a romantic old town with traditional inns, cafes, and shopping malls. 40km away you find the village of Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden home to the famous Watzmann and Hochkalter mountains.
