Things to Do in Gstaad/Rougemont
Since the opening of the Montreux-Bernois railway in 1904 the village has become a very popular holiday destination. Videmanette – a.k.a. the Dolomites of Gstaad – is a well-known ski resort, being connected to the Gstaad ski area since 1984. Rougemont offers a wide array of activities also in summer: hiking, mountain biking, via ferratas, summer tobogganing or white-water adventure on the river Saane. Summer cross-country skiing is offered at “Glacier 3000”. Lauenensee Nature Reserve displays many waterfalls, glaciers and bogs and is a very popular recreation area. This holiday region has a lot to offer also for families and children.

"Gstaad Mountain Rides" Winter Sports Region is one of the biggest ski resorts in Switzerland, comprising 53 lifts, 220 km of ski pistes and numerous terrain parks. Night skiing is possible in Wilspile and Rinderberg. The more adventurous will definitely be thrilled by glacier hikes and heli-skiing. Non-skiers will enjoy tobogganing and winter hikes.
