Where to go skiing in Spital am Pyhrn in the Winter?

The mountain station of Wurzeralm Resort is located at an elevation of 1870 m above sea level. 8 efficient lifts, a total of 22 km perfectly groomed pistes and a breathtaking panorama make this resort an unforgettable place for winter sports. Wurzeralm Cable Car takes you up to Wurzeralm mountain station. From there you can get to Frauenkar via Gammering and Hahnlgraben.

The little ones will have fun in the kids’ area featuring a magic carpet, ski carousel and a ski lift for kids. Wurzeralm offers a special track for ski tourers. The free ski bus runs several times a day between Wurzeralm in Spital am Pyhrn, Höss and Hinterstoder. Bärenhütte Inn with its sunny terrace offers regional specialities for hungry skiers.  

What's going on in Spital am Pyhrn in the summer?

Nearby Dr.-Vogelgesang-Klamm is the largest gorge in Upper Austria. Großer Priel, the highest mountain of Tote Gebirge, is also a very popular destination for mountaineers. Neighbouring village Eldbach offers an 18-hole golf course. Another highlight is the panorama indoor swimming pool. Have a nice swim in one of the many refreshing lakes in the surroundings.

Plan a day trip to Windischgarsten, which is only 7 km away, and is situated at the valley entrance. Wiederlechnerhütte at the Wurzeralm mountain station and Bärenhütte at the Gammering mountain station are very attractive destinations also in the summer.
