Rimavská Sobota (German: Großsteffelsdorf) is a picturesque town in southern Slovakia in the Banská Bystrica region bordering Hungary. It is the biggest town in the district followed by Hnúšťa (Nusten) and Tisovec (Theißholz) and is home to around 22,000 people.
