Where is Kell am See?
Kell am See is located in the district of Trier-Saarburg in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. The small village covers an area of 28.26 km2 and is home to 2,110 people. The health resort is located in the south-western part of Hunsrück (816 m) between the Osburger Hochwald and the Schwarzwälder Hochwald, just 20 minutes from Trier. The municipality also includes the villages of Am Reichertsbruch, Farm, Fronhof, Mühlscheid and Wallerplatz.

What to do in Kell am See?
14-hectare Keller reservoir is popular among both holidaymakers and locals alike for it is a fantastic place to swim, fish or boat trips. Landal Hochwald holiday park next to the reservoir offers mobile homes, holiday homes, indoor pool, children's paddling pool and indoor playground.
Kell am See high ropes course includes five courses, 60 climbing elements up to eight metres and a giant slide. Visit ‘Saar-Rodel’ summer toboggan in nearby Saarburg.
The 1.5 km long barefoot path runs through sand, mud, bark mulch, logs, gravel and water. The barefoot path is part of a leisure centre with a sunbathing lawn, playground, picnic areas and catering facilities.
Families should not miss to visit the mini-soccer arena not far from the high ropes course.
Particularly worth seeing is the large nativity scene in the parish church and the lively village centre.
In good weather check out Saar-Hunsrück-Steig trail. Those who prefer to explore the area by bike can do so on the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path passing Keller reservoir.
In the winter enjoy skating or tobogganing.
