Where is Norden - Norddeich?
Norddeich is a village in the borough of Norden in north Germany and sits on the North Sea coast in northwestern East Frisia, Lower Saxony. Norddeich is home to 1,260 people and covers an area of 10.43 km². Every year 2.25 million people are ferried to the East Frisian islands of Juist and Norderney. Norddeich is the largest passenger harbour in Lower Saxony and the third largest passenger transport harbour in Germany after Puttgarden and Rostock.

What to do in Norden - Norddeich?
Norddeich enjoys a pleasant sea climate – relax on the beach, unwind and marvel at the ocean views.
In bad weather visit the seal sanctuary at National Park House, home to seals, grey seals and other marine mammals. In Osterloog you find the Waloseum, displaying a 15-metre skeleton of a two-tonne sperm whale. The museum also accommodates a marine aquarium, an exhibition on coastal birdlife and lots more.

What is so special about the Wadden Sea National Park?
A trip to one of the seven East Frisian islands in the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site is of course a must. Ferries and excursion boats depart daily from the harbour in Norddeich and take you to the small sand islands. Due to the unique natural spectacle of low tide and high tide, the islands of Baltrum, Juist and Norderney can also be reached on foot with the help of a mudflat guide.
What is the weather like in Norddeich and Norden?
Norddeich enjoys a temperate climate. North Sea weather is characterised by many rainy days, constant wind and strong tidal changes. Norden and Norddeich see moderate temperatures in summer and mild temperatures in winter. Average annual temperature is around 12°C. The best time to visit is from June to September. July and August see temperatures of 20 °C with lots of sunshine.
