Located at an altitude of 799 m, the Styrian municipality of Pichl-Reiteralm covers an area of 54,34 km² and is home to 907 people.
Winter
Situated between Schladming Tauern Mountains and the south walls of the Dachstein Mountains, Reiteralm forms the western border of Schladming-Dachstein ski resort. Reiteralm, Hauser Kaibling, Planai and Hochwurzen Mountain are all connected by lifts and skiers will definitely enjoy this extended ski area. The wide range of offers includes night tobogganing, trekking with huskies, building an igloo, helicopter flights or rides on a grooming vehicle. Reiteralm is known for its snow-reliable weather conditions and so it is a very popular training terrain for the world’s best skiers. GUL-Schuss course with timekeeping or the Cool-Running race course are a total thrill, but those who are looking for even more adventure can have a go at the Black Quartet – four black ski trails. Summer
In summer tourists are attracted by the great variety of mountain biking routes and hiking trails suitable for all levels of fitness. Reiteralm hiking and recreation paradise is easily accessible via Reiteralm Street or Preunegg Gondola. Motor sports enthusiasts never miss the Ennstal Classic and Rock the Roof. Having staged the 2013 Alpine World Ski Championships-WM, Reiteralm is now organising the 2017 Special Olympics.
