Bad Gastein
Together with Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein, the spa and winter resort of Bad Gastein forms the 40km Gastein valley located in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Situated at an altitude of 1.000 m, Bad Gastein covers an area of 170,62 km² and is home to more than 4.000 inhabitants.

Modern lifts at Stubnerkogel and Schlossalm mountains connect the two holiday resorts of Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein. In winter Bad Gastein attracts some of the world’s best athletes, such as top freeskiers. The Red Bull PlayStreets takes place every year in the centre of the town.

350 km of hiking trails lead through the breathtaking panorama of Hohen Tauern Mountains. Mountain bikers will love the 13 mountain biking routes or the Gastein family cycle path.
