Skiing, snowboarding and hiking in Bublava
The small village of Bublava (in German Schwaderbach) is located in the northwest of the Czech Republic near the border with Germany at an elevation of 614m.
First mentioned in the 17th Century, the beginnings of the community were found in mining, cotton spinning mills and the manufacture of musical instruments. Today, with nearly 400 inhabitants Bublava is mainly known for the Bublava - Stříbrná ski area. Each winter, the slopes and lifts draw many winter sports enthusiasts. Whether skiing or snowboarding, everyone feels great in one of the best and most popular ski resorts of the Ore Mountains. With its wide runs, the ski area is also ideal for beginners and families. A special highlight is the operating hours: you can make your turns here every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. as the floodlights make night skiing possible. The Bublava feratel webcam shows what is going on in the ski resort live.
In summer, the 807-meter high Bleiberg is a popular hiking and tourist destination. Established in 1933, the “Bleibergwarte” invites you for a pleasant visit. Here you can look forward to culinary delights and enjoy a beautiful panorama view of the Ore Mountains from the observation tower.
