Winter
Sörenberg is the biggest winter sports’ region in the Canton of Lucerne, boasting 17 chair- and ski-lifts as well as mountain railways on 53km Slopes. Enjoy skiing and snowboarding at altitudes of up to 2350m on the Brienzer Rothorn, the highest mountain in the canton. This family-friendly winter sports’ area also offers a snow sports school, two toboggan runs and guided snow-shoe tours. Experienced skiers enthuse about the Schrattenfluh ski-tour region.
Summer
Mooraculum – The largest bog adventure park in the Alps
Mysterious and at the same time very promising The bog water play park Mooraculum on the Rossweid above Sörenberg in the Entlebuch biosphere, gives totally new impulses as regards authenticity and uniqueness. It is the Alps’ largest adventure park on the topic of bogs. The park borders the large sun terrace of Restaurant Rossweid. Here children and their parents find everything to their hearts’ desire: ponds with water game equipment, games of skill, small and large adventures, oases of tranquility, picnic spots - a veritable dream world that is actually true. Mooraculum is accessible by gondola train from Sörenberg. Entry is free.
Brienzer Rothorn
Did you know that the Rothorn with its height of 2350 m is the highest mountain of the canton Lucerne? That due to its remote location north of Lake Brienz it has an incredible view from the summit all over the Bernese Alps including the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau? The cable car will bring you within 10 minutes from Sörenberg to the summit of the Rothorn. Inside of the imposing peak restaurant or outside on the great terrace you will get properly treated.
