Axamer Lizum ski resort lies south of Axams and the impressive Kalkkögel mountains, the so-called “Dolomites of the North”, once hosted the Olympic slalom competitions. The “white roof” of the Olympic region Innsbruck can easily be reached from Innsbruck by car or by free ski shuttles within 30 minutes. The resort is a paradise for winter sports, offering 40 km of pistes, fun slopes and the Golden Roof Park.
Olympiabahn cable-car takes you to 2,340 m and to the panorama restaurant Hoadl-Haus, where Tirolean specialities are served on a large sun terrace. Enjoy the wonderful view of Kalkkögel Mountains, Stubai Alps and Innsbruck.
The alpine hiking garden of Innsbruck boasts unique fauna and flora in a fantastic countryside with 60 km of hiking trails, offering action but also relaxation. Take Olympiabahn cable-car to the sunny plateau of Hoadl or Birgitz Köpfl lift to Birgitz Köpfl Haus. Both are ideal starting points for numerous hiking routes.
